On May 29, 2023, House of Representatives’ Committee on Mining began the discussion of Bill 15,510-08, to which the Administration had assigned urgency in its legislative proceedings.
The Minister of Mining, Ms. Marcela Hernando Pérez; the Undersecretary of Mining, Mr. Willy Kracht Gajardo; and the Head of the Department of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs of the Ministry of Mining, Mr. Felipe Curia Miranda, gave presentations on the project. The Head of the Mining Strategies and Public Policies Division, Mr. Carlos Silva Landeros, also attended the Committee session.
The next session of the Committee on Mining is scheduled for June 7, 2023, at 15:00. The session will be attended by:
– Vice-president of the Association of Expert Mining Experts of Chile A.G., ASPEMECH, Mr. Miguel Tobar.
– President of the National Mining Society, SONAMI, Mr. Jorge Riesco Valdivieso.
– President of the Mining Chamber of Chile, Mr. Miguel Zauschkevich Domeyko.
